If you get sick of asprin tablets, willow bark contains asprin in reasonable quantities, and brews a boring, if effective tea. Two tablespoons of willow to eight ounces of water should do it. It comes in caplets, too.

Comfrey tea is good to relax you to sleep; as you know, I have been insomniac since the start of the school year, and the comfrey that I bought at the One of a Kind Show works well for me. Comfrey also comes in caplets!

Good luck, dearie. Feel better soon!

Aleve Cold and Sinus and a pot of Chammomile tea. And Ricola makes sugar free cough drops which aren't bad. By the way, you may have read Aleve was found to contribute to heart problems-- if you read the fine print it's only if you are elderly, and take more than the recommended dosage on a daily basis for months. It does the trick better than anything.

That sounds like an effective combination. I hadn't heard that Aleve was dangerous - but good to have the warning and the disclaimer all in one go in case I do. Aleve isn't available up here - we have a friend who imports it for her own use sometimes because she misses it otherwise. Actually, you did too once.

Thank you for the advice. I'll bookmark it for next time, when I'm coming down sick and can go shopping.

Happily, my fever is much further down this morning, although none of my other symptoms have budged. I take what victories I can.
