Kind of off-colour, but our uni caf has a waffle station with a machine that is for some reason, "gummi bear" patterned. The top is always open, and of course, the bear's head is at the bottom of the upper plate. So what one sees unless one looks closely is an elongated shape with slight bumps along the sides, ending with a bulbous (one bulb for each ear) portion at the bottom. I thought it was just me, but I walked several of my female colleagues, some of whom are pretty straight-laced by the damned thing and told them to glance sideways ... there's not a one of us that can walk by the damned thing now without cracking up!

Moral: waffle irons should have only the traditional pattern, thanks!
