Also, thanks to the wonderful [livejournal.com profile] medievalist, I can now read Chaucer again in convenient Riverside form! This'll be a good aid for polishing up the Chaucer mnemonic I was working on the other week.

Dinner was quite satisying: we had over the first dinner guest in longer than I can remember. (As opposed to house guests. We've had several of those since we last had a dinner guest.) It's been a very good week for catching up with Long Lost Friends.

The Tate headline certainly grabbed my attention ("What do you MEAN, it's not a museum??"). I know so little about museum politics, but I think after reading the article I understand what's going on.

Also, that is very, VERY cool picnicware.

I work at the top of a very tall building and I'm sick of the nausea-inducing way it stops on every fucking floor. I am SO trying that hack on Monday.

Reminds me a bit of the infamous Coke machine hack :)

That picnic ware is so interesting. I love origami-inspired design. Ever since Primo took up origami in a big way last year, I have come to appreciate it more and more.

I love that picnic set. The few times a year I picnic I seem to be terminally on the outlook for lots of plastic cups.

Don't you already own several hundred brightly-colored plastic cups? Of course, they don't fold flat.
