How ever did I manage for several months without a printer of my own? No wonder I've been struggling to accomplish any number of things. I write well on computer screens and proofread badly. It's a pain to print off and mail in forms when the printing off portion of the task requires an expedition to a photocopy store somewhere far away. Now I can not only print again, I can print in duplex!

It's all very well to read through prose when written pen on paper, but the computer is only a ghost of pen and paper when there's no printer to put the ink to fiber.

In other small electronics news, the boiler - which was not working properly - was fixed in the late hours of last night by an electrician. How lovely it is to have an ample supply of hot water!

The few times my printer was busted during grad school, I almost went insane--and I was printer-less for no more than a few days at a time. The fact that you went months without a printer of your very own leaves me in awe. AWE, I tell you!

Until late June, I was the proud owner of a printer and used it copiously. But then, at the end of June, I moved from Canada to England. The printer had an internal converter, so it would have been profligate to bother bringing it with me. By mid-August, my printer needs were starting to become critical again, so, after lots of research on my boyfriend's part, we ordered another printer... thus beginning a month's worth of tales of woe of the printer not arriving. I occasionally went to a copy store in fits of desperation, but it's just not the same thing. The printer finally arrived while I was away again in Canada and the U.S.

Life is better now. So much better.

Celebrate with a luxury bath. I recommend Penhaglion's "Blenheim Bouquet" oil.

Is Penhaglion a specialty store product or will my local purveyor of pharamaceutical goods stock it?
