People in the states I encountered while visiting last week are *way* more excited about the royal wedding than most people I know in England. My grandmother is planning to watch the full coverage, regardless of how early she has to get up to see it. She actually remembers the current Queen's wedding and listening to it on the radio, so I guess there's some continuity for her.
