Happy American Thanksgiving!

I had pastina in brodo with turkey stock for lunch, and turkey-and-stuffing crisps for a snack, the least inspiring of Walker's Festive Crisps pack. While dinner was technically made with ingredients leftover from our Thanksgiving feast on Sunday, in practice, it wasn't the least bit Thanksgivingy - potato, green beans, and mushrooms fried together with lots of pain d'épice mustard and a squeeze of lemon juice. It may not look like Thanksgiving on the table, but deep down, it is.

How were the turkey and stuffing crisps?!? What a deliriously awesome idea. Please tell me they were delish.

No, they were really rather dull, like the ghost of Thanksgiving Past (a faint, barely present, childhood memory), rather than essence of Thanksgiving Present. I'm happy to recommend the other two flavors in Walker's Festive multipack, however: Ham and Mustard; and Ploughman's. Both good, especially the Ploughman's.
