I recently met someone who's been living in London since October or so. He moved last week to a new place, near the Borough Market and London Bridge. He moved there because he was tired of living in central London.

(Before that, he was living near Charing Cross.)

Er... like short walking distance away?

Yeah, okay, there's a river in the way, and some cool stuff south of it, but even so...

Obviously he's not hurting financially whatever.

Um, I've not got the foggiest where they are. I'm still rather hazy about the whole "inside the M25" thing, so a bit more detail?

Most of us would call both of these places "central London" by modern standards.

This would be the time to quote Samuel Johnson. "If your tired of London, you are tired of life."

I'm not sure if that also applies to central London, but I'm also unconvinced that that move qualifies as moving outside of central London.

What is now known as Central London used to be more than the entirety of London was.
