Garden Path at Monet's House in Giverny [S. Worthen

Now that is one side-trip that I really wish I had been able to make. :) How was it?

It was lovely. It didn't really matter that there were lots of tourists - many of the garden paths were blocked off, so there were still clear vistas, and there weren't so many other visitors on a random weekday in September that they clogged the paths much. The water lily ponds were especially nice. (And his studio was phenomenal - it's the gift shop now, but enormous, huge skylights, so full of light.)
