Good advertising

MnMs have done a nice job of promoting their dark chocolate MnMs with a Bosch-inspired interactive painting game which incorporates clues to the titles of 50 "dark"-themed movies. I really don't watch horror or suspense movies, but deduced 8 titles on my first attempt. Those of you who are fans of those genres will likely do far better. 39 now, but I think I've stalled. I don' tthink they have selections for some I think should be there, and I can't figure out anything for a portion of the 11 left - I don't even think I know where all of the hints are, I can't seem to get mouseover for 11...

funny thing is I haven't seen many of these, I just know they're out there....I like the older stuff like The Haunting with Vincent Price, not slasher stuff.

I'd only seen one of the movies I figured out - the rest were only titles to me. But titles are mostly all it's playing on, so that's okay.

It took us two hours and some use of "top horror movies" internet sites, but my mom and I eventually got all 50.

That's impressive! Teamwork really does seem to be a good way to approach this. Over fondue the night before last, I discussed some of the answers with someone else who'd had a go at it. He was proud for having eventually deduced one image I got right away; and I was astounded at some of the solutions which I saw as being more subtle, but he'd figured out without TOO much effort.

That's one of the cooler marketing ideas I've seen. And yes, it's a nice homage to Bosch, apart from the grinning chocolates, which even he wasn't weird enough to put in.

I'm up to 28, and I'm not really that much of a a movie buff. They're not all classic 'horror' or 'suspense' films, because I've spotted a few sci-fi flicks and even a couple of dark comedies in there. And some of them I've never seen, but they're famous enough that I've heard of them anyway. I'm definitely starting to get stuck now, though. Aha, 29!
