The other night, I dreamed that I met truepenny (whom I have never met, nor seen photos of). She had masses of curly grey-black hair, bound back in a bandana, and was wearing the coolest felted knitted torcs, two of them in pastels, around her neck. But really - how nifty would it be to have a golden felted torc to wear? Comfortable, lightweight. It might need internal reinforcement of course - wire, perhaps?

In fact, I can now picture an entire line of period jewelry recreated through knitting - snake arm bands, circlets, "gem-encrusted" bangles...

Surely someone else has already thought of this before.
