If you are a science fiction reader to any degree, and haven't already, go fill out the SF Questions survey. It's only up for a few more days, and having ninety-or-so more responses would give Farah a nice, large number of readers from which to abstract stastistics for her work.

A.S., longest-time friend, graduate student, and occasional London houseguest, made it safely away from Beirut to Damascus last week, as her article in Time Online attests. Thank goodness.

This is so embarrassing. I think I filled it out ages ago, when mj at Scribblingwoman posted a link to the survey and the blog. But maybe I just meant to fill it out? *headdesk*

I think the Cthluhu bellydancing looks like a riot. :)

Here in flat-world country I'd retitle the picture
"Priestesses of the Flying Spaghetti Monster" and see if I could get a Kansas paper to publish it.

I did now. It was there and I entirely overlooked. I need to spend several days sorting through email someday. If I have it, I can find it easily enough with searches at least. I wish I could trust all my email to arrive safely in the first place though! Happliy, I haven't knowingly lost any lately.
