The list of medievalists with weblogs now has an exciting new feature: it's legible!

I've been meaning to rework the site into PubTAL for ages so that the whole thing was template and css based. Now that it is, it'll be easier to do a proper redesign of the site in the future. While I was at it, I added in the beginnings of webpages gathering together some of what I've written about food in the past; there's still a great deal of work to do on that part of the site, as I very gradually work back through my LJ posts and add tags to them. But the site as a whole is now much more legible. No more white-on-blue. It's now a very sensible black on white.

While I'm on the subject, it's been a while since I canvassed the world for new weblogs to add to the list. Sometimes bloggers will contact me with additions, sometimes I'll go out and trawl, but if there's a weblog I should be listing that I've thus far overlooked (your own or someone else's), please let me know.

I don't know if it is crass to add oneself, but my blog, "Unlocked Wordhoard," is here:

It's not the least bit crass! You're doing me a favor by letting me know.

I am embarassed to have overlooked adding yours. I've known about it for a while, but hadn't noticed I hadn't included it yet. It's especially embarassing since you're on the K'zoo weblogs panel. I'll double-check that I haven't omitted any of the other participants.

D'oh! Scott's was one of the ones I was trying to remember!

Can I just say that that is the most amazing piece of work? I hate to think how many hours it took you! But, boy, do I wish there was a list like that for every discipline! Something like Voice of the Shuttle, only blogs. You should consider submitting this to VOS... or somewhere... it just must be incredibly useful, especially for new people coming into the academic community. Cheers!

Thank you! Maintenance is very easy - I just have a spreadsheet to update and then I run some scrips. Setting it up in the first place, however, took a bit more time - but I didn't know of more than 15-20 sites to include at that point.

Cliopatria maintains a list for historians in general, listed by general theme of content, but I don't know if other disciplines have this sort of list.

I didn't know about Voice of the Shuttle, so thank you for pointing it out! I'm not sure they'd want to incorporate the site though, since their emphasis seems to be on collating factually-useful sites for the practice of academia. I don't see anything about field-specific social networking on there.
