When she came to DC a few months ago I really enjoyed the concert, but she definitely didn't have the same energy and charisma she'd had when I last saw her in St Louis a few years ago (Beauty of the Rain tour). I wonder if she is losing her joy for touring. Fortunately, she did have enough time to play a nice long set, including Iowa as her encore.

I totally forgot to, but had meant to give you a copy of a CD by the band that opened for her, Girlyman. They are fantastic! Luscious 3-part harmony in every song, it's just magic.

Living on the road like that must be hard, especially doing it on a regular basis. At least she had her family with her on this several week European tour she was doing. For selfish reasons though, I do hope she doesn't burn out on it.

I'd love to hear the album sometime - sounds intriguing. C. really likes the Garden State soundtrack by the way.

Everyone was auto-logged out earlier this week as a security measure on LJ.
