Followup

  • I had a successful trip to Woking today, saw the material I needed to, and can now polish off a project because of it. The trip would have been slightly faster had there not been a broken rail at Wimbledon. One of the women supervising me was particularly lovely - we bonded over Cardiff historians and outgrowing Radio 1.
  • I don't have time to respond to all the social memes making the rounds right now - memories of people, how we met. But I do remember, and we did meet.
  • My defense will be on December 14th.

There is no way I'm going to be flying in the night before my defense. I don't want to be jetlagged while doing something so stressful! I'll arrive a bunch of days earlier - five days earlier is looking likely at the moment.
