    I've seen three good movies in two days. Wallace and Gromit: The Curse of the Were-Rabbit was hilarious and delightful. I want to see it again! Dear Frankie was elegant and satisfying. Before Sunset was engrossing, if not as good as the other two movies.
  • Despite being in the middle of a road trip, I'm roasting a turkey tomorrow for a Canadian Thanksgiving potluck. If I were staying anywhere else, I might not - but [livejournal.com profile] pittenweem and [livejournal.com profile] chamaeleoncat have what's left of my turkey roasting equipment in this country.
  • Brunch at Hello Toast with J.K. and R.B. was very pleasant indeed. C. and I discovered the restaurant about a month before we moved out of the neighborhood, over near Pape and Queen and have only made it back once since. Even better, I could catch up at length with J.K.

Before Sunset is a charming film, beautifully shot. One of the things I love about it is that it is shot in real time. The rapport between Ethan Hawke and Julie Delpy is excellent too and for such a narrowly focussed, talky film they carry it off very well.
Before Sunrise was different, unlike anything else around, and had that mystery about it. Did they, will they? The sequel cannot have that but replaces it with the humour of the situation and the tension is different but there.

Wow, I thought Before Sunset was bloody amazing, so Wallace and Gromit must be even better than I thought it was going to be.

I watched Serenity at the weekend. Now you must watch Serenity, or face the wrath of the elder gods and they can get pretty jolly miffed sometimes, I'm telling you.
