Ah, Toronto Transit Commision. You just don't get it. Week passes which only begin on a Monday are more or less useless for those of us who do not obligingly line up our visits with a normal work week.

It's just as well you're switching to a smartcard system in 2007.

P.S. Many of you are easily irritated by chatty seatmates on airplanes. For me, it depends on how they are chatty. Yesterday's seatmate wasn't irritating, despite the impression I seem to have given to the contrary. Rather nicely, he was interested in early Medieval technology in an unusually informed way for someone who has never obviously studied it, with or without formal classes.

So, we've set on Sunday for our festive mealy thing. You're welcome to join us if you like.
We've got four fluffy kittens!

Thank you for the invitation, but I have conflicting plans. I'm sorry I'll be missing it, especially since I'm not too busy for most of the rest of the weekend. I hope it goes well.

Well, if you like, come by for leftover leg of lamb and flageolets on Monday and, perhaps, lamb biryani for a few days after that ;) Actually we didn't go wild with a gigantic piece of meat so Chef Chickenfeet [personal profile] metalana and I might just finish the poor creature off if we're feeling really piggy.
We'd love to see you while you're here at some point. Let us know when and how we can meet up or invite yourself to dinner on the Monday,Wednesday or Saturday of your choice. Other nights you'd have to meet me on Queen W. for post dance class nibblies instead.

Your invitation is lovely, and I wish I could have had some of it! It sounds so good. My flight out is on Tuesday night, so I've fairly well run low on time to coordinate. I'm sorry that my email access has been so sporadic, since it could have worked out so nicely. Hopefully next time.

I hope Thanksgiving went well.

I don't mind chatty seatmates unless I'm exhausted or their conversation is completely off-topic and bizarre. I will never forget the Guinness Man on the Peter Pan bus from Worcester to Springfield. Never, I tell you.

However, his ilk is not generally to be found on planes, thank heavens!

I don't mind, either -- except for the occasional man who won't take a hint and Christians. I carry a rosary to keep them away. In three transatlantic flights to Germany, I was approached by missionaries. They leave papists alone, though.
