yep. padme had great hair.

so how come she kicks butt in the first movie, gets sappy in the second, and plain old cries, whines, moans, and gives up and dies in the second? what a character arc.

I would like to believe that it would be possible to (a) have that hair, and (b) go around bossing people and doing neat things.

I think it's possible to have great hair and do neat things all at the same time. (Take you, for example.) Her senatorial responsibilities in the third movie seemed like a trivial hobby to her. You wouldn't think she was an intergalactically-competent networker and diplomat.
