The Muppets in Oz is on television tonight, the first Muppets movie in several years! I'll be going to see Revenge of the Sith, but a friend is taping the muppets for me. Hurray!

The trailer for Howl's Moving Castle (the movie) has been online for a few weeks. And the trailer for The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe movie is blood-stirringly spectacular.

I have an enduring weakness for the Eurovision Song Contest. This year, there were semi-finals, on Thursday. C. and I watched it, exchanged commentary online the while. Estonia's song, "Let's get loud", has been stuck in my head ever since and reminds me of curtana, more for the lyrics of other music she likes than anything else; alas, they were not one of the ten finalists from this round. The smarmy Danish entry did, as did the elegantly-choreographed Hungarian entry. Once more, the weirdness of the Austrian entry did not earn it significant numbers of votes - but I found the mix of salsa, yodelling, and spaceships fascinating. C., won over by their glam rock style, cheered on Norway, which made it to the final as well.
