Today, I learned how to deal with an infestation of griffins.
I bought a ticket to go see Opera Atelier's production of Dido and Aeneas later this month.
I spent yet more overly large sums of money producing photocopies of my dissertation draft.
And I discovered what a wonderful, wonderful musical Wicked is, just as [livejournal.com profile] irvinl promised.

How?

I saw Dido & Aeneas about ten years ago. It's good.

A large pit and lots of mud is involved in dealing with griffins. I gave up on typing individual answers and just posted the directions here instead.

I'm looking forward to the opera - Opera Atelier has yet to disappoint me.

Er... so how do you deal with an infestation of griffins? Just in case my case don't guard against them.

I was going to tell you all about it in a comment, but then it took a while, and I realize I could make it a post and avoid telling everyone about it individually. The directions are here.

Erm, do moth balls work against griffins? What about really really big glue traps?

They are both worth a try, in case you happen to have an infestation. I can't promise either method will work though. You can try this (aka my next post) instead.

Sounds like a plan

I really enjoyed preparing all the copies of my diss. for the commmittee, because it meant I was done!

My favorite parts to write were the acknowledgements and the dedication, the latter of which was in Yiddish.

Alas, I am not yet done. I have generous committee members who are all willing to read through my full draft and give me feedback before I turn in my defendable version.

I haven't written the acknowledgements yet - but I should start soon. I'm worried I'll forget important people!

You've answered the how of the griffin question, but I'll admit to being puzzled as to how come you were infested by griffins in the first place?
