It snowed a little every day for the past week in Toronto.

In London, the daffodils are past their peak and it's pleasantly warm and sunny out. The grass is green. The trees are just barely beginning to show hints of green.

I would like to thank the three gentlemen who helped me lug my overly heavy suitcase down stairs and non-functional escalators scattered throughout the London Underground System. Their aid made my life easier. Of course, no one ever volunteered to help me lug the thing upwards.

Bits of my black boots have inexplicably turned green at some point since I started this trip. I don't understand it.

Also, The Emperor's New Groove really is a fun movie.

In Warwickshire its grey and the daffodils are mostly out but some are still thinking about it.

I'm in very special bit of the country. Maybe it was all designed to welcome me here - a small patch of sun following me around like a spotlight and the only patch of already-blasé daffodils hurriedly uprooted to be placed in my path.

London tends to be warmer than most of the rest of the country on any given day. If there's any sun in the UK, it's probably in London or in the south in general!

I'd been hearing good things for years and finally had a chance on the airplane!

I'll have to share some of the daffodils here with you - at least via picture. I may have forgotten the cable to connect the digicam to my computer, but Colin has a flash card drive, so all is not lost.

Thank you! I'm treating myself to a weekend of complete vacation. I have a paper to write - but it can wait until Monday to begin. This also gives me time to try to wrangle my sleep schedule into something resembling normality.

Oddly, not only could I not fall asleep for hours last night, but birdsong kept me awake for quite some time. There's a patch of greenery with trees just across the street. But birdsong? In the middle of the night?
