I found the Dickens House Museum delightfully low-tech. When I was there years ago many of the exhibit labels were in typewriting on curling yellow paper. The staff were very keen, although I sensed in those of my fellow visitors more accustomed to museums where they have holographs and laser shows a certain "is this it?" vibe...
