I received three things: a boxed set of historical English Heritage cookbooks from my grandmother *; a postcard about how good the food is in Chiang-Mai (thanks, ![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-userinfo.gif)
chickenfeet2003!); and my first issue of Gastronomica, a coffee-table-style scholarly journal about food and culture.
* It was both heartwarming and disappointing that the series was missing the Medieval volume - heartwarming inasmuch as it means my grandmother has probably cooked from it.
