We had a wonderful time at the pub night. More importantly, Colin had a good time.
A large crowd turned out, and the lack of concentrated seating was entirely my fault for underestimating how many people would show. I booked space for 15, and we could have used space for 25. moon_custafer, Andrew, lemur_catta and chickenfeet2003, because I, at least, was not expecting them. Happy surprises. Other attendees who like to see their name in lights included irvinl, double0hilly, saffronjan, curtana, forthright, theengineer, and piratehead. I swear, I know plenty of people who don't have weblogs, and many of them were present last night too.
Thanks totheengineer, I am now the proud owner of a Playmobil blacksmithy! double0hilly thoughtfully gave us The Gourmet Cookbook, sixty years of recipes compiled from Gourmet magazine. The current plan is that I will test them out and send Colin instructions for how to make the ones I think he'll like.
