C. and I are roasting a turkey for the first time tomorrow, in honor of Canadian Thanksgiving. In order to keep tomorrow's cleaning-frenzy under more control, we cooked squash, stuffing, and giblet gravy tonight. I had no idea that real gravy was so easy to produce! We've gone through a great deal of onion, sage, celery, carrot, parsley, and thyme: all the secondary flavors of Thanksgiving.

Somehow, the weekend is already gone - only the holiday is left. Yes, we did quite a bit of grocery shopping, including a last-minute mall-trip to find a turkey rack, but where did the days go? I ate, I cooked, I shopped, I napped, and I had a wonderful night last night at the Canadian Salsa Congress (about which I will write more anon). I made apple sauce soup. And the weekend passed by.
