Aphorism

"Time is the best tamer of love." Do you have any idea where this phrase comes from originally?

I don't yet know what the original Italian or Latin is since I was working from a translation, but Ripa uses the phrase in the Iconologia. He really liked using older sources, so if he's including an aphoristic phrase, there's a decent chance he's quoting someone.

You mentioned in your profile that you wish people to comment about how one becomes interested in your journal. Jascot is my husband and I noticed that you had him added as a friend. Since he does not post I was thinking you might have better luck catching up with his life by reading my journal. My journal is locked to friends only so that is why I added you. :) My oldest characters on PernMUSH are Ceres and Lisanne. Not sure if we knew each other or not. :)

Thank you for noticing and for writing to let me know. I know Jascot from back when Jacera was a little girl and so was my PernMUSH character Ilga at Igen Weyr. I haven't played actively on PernMUSH in years - I was always more active on SouCon (Tris, Dria), and gave even that up a year or so ago. Still, with ten years of my life devoted to Pern-themed mush characters, it's nice to be able to keep in touch with - or at least hear updates about - the people I interacted with so much then.
