owlfish at 11:19am on 29/07/2002Today I want to book my tickets home for next month; work on the bibliography; read a certain overdue thesis; and add to my list of methodologies to work on. I have a 3pm thing I need to do, so my workday will be broken up. Still, as long as I have several good hours of accomplishment, I'll be happy.
Right about now, the pope is leaving the city, off to Guatemala, and then Mexico. Over 800,000 people attended yesterday's mass and half a million were there a day early, for the vigil. The city will be a quieter, less musical place.
Meanwhile, Ragbrai ended on Saturday. My family should be in fewer places again, but my sister leaves tomorrow for Rhodes.
