The study is tidy for the first time in a very long time. It's clean as well. There's room for me to work, there's room for me to spread out my articles, and most importantly, at least for now, there's room for [livejournal.com profile] flos_campi and Tina to come stay with me!

My extended abstract is mostly done, I've done lots of laundry, and we are now well stocked with groceries again. Now if only my cold would finish going away.

Please pardon the complete non sequitur, but where, when, and why did you live in Cheam? We bunnies like to keep tabs on such things. (And, to keep you abreast of local developments, construction workers have just finished installing a traffic light under the railway bridge on Sandy Lane. Gripping stuff, I know. Cheam is one big hot bed of metropolitan spice.)

I met my boyfriend when we were both doing degrees at York - he's now a reformed physicist working in IT. He got a job in Leatherhead and found a shared house to live in in Cheam through Loot. I went over to live with him for 5 months, and we spent most of the first month flat-hunting, while I lived in the shared house with him and his housemates. And so it was I lived in Cheam for most of a month. We moved to Bookham for the rest of that stint over there, and about a year or so later (just to account for our general geographic peregrinations), he obtained his work visa and joined me living in Toronto.

And there you go. I spent much of my time in Cheam exploring nearby places like Sutton or taking long walks to parks which weren't actually in Cheam, but fairly nearby in the greater scheme of things.

Don't get over your cold too fast--I am looking forward to hearing you as a Baritone!
