I gave my paper, it went well, it's over, and I can relax and enjoy the rest of the Congress. My paper was one of four, and collectively we filled the time slot, so allowing us one question each was generous, since we'd already gone over. Still, all four were good and engaging papers, and we collectively kept the audience, which was well attended.

I haven't had much feedback on the content, but that's fairly often the case, alas. At least I wasn't the only one who thought it went well!

The paper I am presenting in Munich, which isn't mine and having read the reviews I'm amazed it got it at all, is the last of the entire conference....:o( Hopefully that means some people will have gone home by then because I'm really not looking forward to it.

Big problem? I agree with the reviewers. ^_^

How can they offer feedback when they are struck dumb in awe of your mastery of the topic?? :)

Congrats on finishing! Glad it went well. I'm impressed with how good you are at this aspect of academic life. I'm terrible at it. It's funny; in many situations I can be incredibly poised and self-confident, even when speaking to strangers. But put me at a podium at an academic conference and I go to pieces. I shake, I lose my breath, my voice wobbles, I cower at the questions afterward. Even moderating a panel makes me do these things (which is why I only did that once)!

Have a wonderful schmoozy time at the rest of the conference! Now you're so close to finishing, may I suggest you put the word out that you're in the market for a job? I've really learned the value of networking lately.
