Heat continues

As I thought, buying the software was as close to relevant work as the day contained. On the bright side though, I'm about halfway done with Latin.

The heat and smog and humidity today was oppressive. The air was almost unbreathable. In retrospect, it seems sort of stupid of me going all the way across town in a minimally ventilated streetcar to obtain the lamp base. But I did have water with me at least. And the errands are now done and air conditioning is a truly lovely thing.

Shana, I'm glad you didn't get heatstroke whilst on errands-- that happened to me last week. Unlike you I forgot about water and what a lovely substance it is... but I'm happy to hear that you're all right.
