I'm doing my Thanksgiving tomorrow. Since Canadian Thanksgiving isn't a holiday in Britain, I had to organise the meal around everyone's schedule and Monday wasn't feasible so it's going to be tomorrow instead. I bought the Turkey today and lugged it back from Tesco in my backpack. I wouldn't recommend carrying a 6kg turkey on you back for 30 minutes. It leaves one rather sore.
But I'm going all the way. Turkey, gravy (either the not-so-real or real), mashed potatoes (my speciality), roast sweet potatoe, parsnip, carrot, and onion, stuffing, maybe some bread, and two apple pies for dessert. The pies are being made tonight and the rest will be done tomorrow afternoon. I'm feeding 8 people so it should be a challenge.
Glad to hear that the tradition of Toronto people gathering for Thanksgiving is still going strong. And you get American Thanksgiving, too.
