Job thoughts.

I don't have a good idea right now, but I do have a comment to pass on from my current boss. She and her husband are about to move back to Italy - since they are actually both Italian they are quite happy about going back after so many years...

BUT. Apparently, the general way in which Italian universities are run is utterly apalling(SP?). The university that they are going to is the only one that they would even consider because it is in a province that has more control over its own finances. The rest are apparently in a very sorry state and are run very badly. I've no idea about other countries unfortunately..

Thank you for passing on those notes. It's a good point. If I am affiliated with an Italian university in the near future, it would likely be as a research formality. Much as it would be useful to be in Italy. We'll see.
