I aspire to having my work cited by the BBC. That would demonstrate a good balance between scholarly achievement and popular accessibility. Why do aspire to this in particular at the moment? [livejournal.com profile] forthright has a BBC article on his work, on the development of Greco-Egyptian numerals.

My aspiration, for a long time, was to publish my work in The Journal of Popular Culture. Now my aspiration is to see my creative work published and mostly unmolested by editors. ^-^;;
