ohh, I love bubble tea. This makes me very, very happy...I was agonizing over how to get my fix once I leave NYC.

*crosses fingers that they have almond-flavor*

(bubble tea is tea with 'black pearl' tapioca in it...big, chewy yummy bubbles in sweet, creamy tea. it's great stuff!*

My roommate still hasn't got me to try that stuff - she likes it a lot, but I just keep thinking 'frogspawn'. :o/ I guess I ought to try it at some point just to see..

I actually haven't tried it either yet. But it seems that you can't go a block around here without encountering someplace that sells it.

I was told that east-asian people like it a lot more than europeans or north americans, something to do with the texture. I keep thinking it will be 'slimey', which puts me off trying...:o/
