Instead, I have rediscovered a great many of my good undergraduate friends. ([livejournal.com profile] alysonwonderlan, [livejournal.com profile] brennabe, [livejournal.com profile] darktouch, [livejournal.com profile] f_butterfly, [livejournal.com profile] innostrantsa, [livejournal.com profile] jennybeast, kuomori,[livejournal.com profile] la_monday, [livejournal.com profile] ladyarren, [livejournal.com profile] littleowl, [livejournal.com profile] mathilde, [livejournal.com profile] nepenthe03, [livejournal.com profile] rhiannon76, [livejournal.com profile] sioneva)

I have been able to stay in closer contact with friends from England. ([livejournal.com profile] evieb, [livejournal.com profile] kashmera, [livejournal.com profile] lazyknight)

I've been able to stay in better touch with friends who are, were recently based in the place I'm currently living, or at very least visited here, where I first met them. ([livejournal.com profile] aliciam, [livejournal.com profile] cwjat, epecho,[livejournal.com profile] irvinl, [livejournal.com profile] siusaidh, [livejournal.com profile] snowdrifted, [livejournal.com profile] theengineer, [livejournal.com profile] ultrascichick)

I've been able to see new and intriguing sides to existing online friends. ([livejournal.com profile] cliosfolly, [livejournal.com profile] crustycurmudgeo, [livejournal.com profile] ivpiter, [livejournal.com profile] onlyocelot, [livejournal.com profile] rippah, [livejournal.com profile] skeller, [livejournal.com profile] suzuno)

And I've made new friends and acquaintances through LiveJournal (or similar services), some of whom I've had the pleasure of meeeting when our geography overlapped. ([livejournal.com profile] aliciam, [livejournal.com profile] curtana, [livejournal.com profile] forthright, [livejournal.com profile] haggisthesecond, [livejournal.com profile] hilly02, [livejournal.com profile] makyo, [livejournal.com profile] medievalist, [livejournal.com profile] phonephobic, [livejournal.com profile] saffronjan, [livejournal.com profile] tammabanana)

It was also my introduction to the world of weblogs generally, through which I have encountered fellow medievalists... (summarized by the list of medievalists with weblogs)

...and pundits, commentators, and writers on all sorts of things. (A list so long and unorganized I shall not compile it at this point.)
