The daffodils in the front yard tried to bloom today, while rain fell and fell, and the temperature plunged. It's chilly out. At this rate, our own plantings will have to wait until after my next trip. Perhaps I could plant a rose bush this year where the chrysanthemums grew... but only if they can stand up to the ravages of racoons. A low groundcover would be nice for part of the boxes, keep it from looking so erratically planted. The honeysuckle has, as of yet, shown no signs of life. It's been struggling the past few years, but I really hope it comes back again.
