Henceforth, Dr Who fans have no excuse for not remembering this lesson about early Chinese dynasties: The Xin dynasty (vase) was before the (River) Song (dynasty).

The Song Dynasty was also before the Song Dynasty, if that fits as well. Or perhaps we should say that the Song Dynasty was after the Song Dynasty? (Liu and regular flavors there, to explicate a little.) But both were indeed after the Xin.

(The Zhou Dynasty is also after the Zhou Dynasty, and the Xin's in between those two. Once you get out of the major dynasties, things can get a little... complicated. XD Legitimation through repetition ftw.)
