One middle-aged man to another:
"Funeral directors are like builders: they can do anything."

I assume he meant they can *get away* with anything, because of the circumstances under which they're hired; either that, or they should form a superhero team of their own.

The Avengers does involve fighting off an invasion; plus it's arguably in the tradition of "a disparate group of recruits must learn to work together as a military unit; though Nick Fury is hardly a drill sergeant.

I love the idea of a team of superhero funeral directors.

They might be an adjunct to Damage Control - the team who clean up the devastation after superhero/villain fights.

one of my grandfathers was both. since as the village builder he had the resources and men to deal with funerals.

My brother in law is both a builder and a grave digger - does that count? *grin* He lives in a very rural area of Wales and will turn his hand to most things - he has also been a farmer in the past.
