My mother had kept this beautifully-printed business card from some number of years ago, with its lovely collection of woodworking tools.

Anyone who could be bothered printing up such a handsome, historically-informed card must have a shop worth visiting, I thought, and Suffolk is easy enough to get to. Alas, the proprietor, Roy Arnold, died on 7 December 2009, and his books were auctioned off. No word on his website as to what happened to the historical carpentry tools.

It's a reminder both of the importance of patronizing good bookstores while they last, and a good prompt for me to have printed better-quality business cards next time.

I've looked at letterpress printers on Etsy - they do business cards at what seems like a fair rate.
