BristolCon was excellent. More details anon, but for now, I wanted to note Solaris' experiment in selling (and giving away samplers) ebooks at their stall in the dealer's room. The books were available to be loaded straight onto an e-reader or memory stick, whatever was handy. They offered me a free sample novella, but I already had it on my computer at home.

At least one book already loaded onto a memory stick, complete with extras, was for sale at the Bristol Festival of Literature that week, i.e. selling the memory sticks.

And I read that Gareth Powell, in a living-in-the-future moment, autographed a memory stick containing one of his novels for the first time this weekend.

How did he do that? Electronically, or with a marker pen?
