One of my thing-a-day calendars informs me that today is the feast day of St. Modomnoc, patron of beekeepers. May you have a good day, full of sweeteners and polishes.

Perhaps I should have hot honeyed toast and light some beeswax candles in honour of the day's saint. OK, I admit, I just like eating honey and buying candles, but the excuse is nice.
