Since I was going to be without a passport for six weeks, I was sorely tempted to go to Wales, just so I could say I had left the country without a passport. (Well, okay, also, I haven't been to Wales in years.)

The passport agency has ruined my faintly clever plan by returning my passport to me less than a week later.

Oh well. No rush on Wales then.

Come to Wales anyway! (And also, that's very encouraging to hear since I'll be sending off my first UK passport application in just a few days...)

I did pay the £3 extra to have my documents returned to me by Special Delivery rather than regular mail, but i wasn't expecting them to make use of the postage for another month-or-so.

Wales is still tempting! I shall consult with C. - now that it's not longer about me and my passportlessness, I could work around his schedule and bring him along too. I would love to come visit!

Perversity is a guiding incentive in my life, for better or worse. It part of why, for example, I ended up minoring in computer science as an undergraduate.

You could sneakily visit Wales while leaving your passport at home!

It's my new goal to place myself in a state of being that will allow me to say "no rush on Wales."

*sigh*

If you come to Wales (you should! You should!) then you must have a meal at Yr Hen Fuwch Goch. Ludo was one of the finalists on Masterchef: The Professionals, and his food is stunning.
