The woman who lived in the basement complained that she had mice in her apartment, but we never saw sign of them, two stories higher. Now that she's moved out and the basement's empty, the mice are exploring the rest of the house. This is the second weekend in a row we've caught a mouse, both times by persistance, broom handle, and sticky trap. The credit is largely C.'s. I just helped out. At least we could catch both of them. It's really annoying though, of course. There's no sign they've touched the poison yet.
