Tea and Chocolate

I ordered much-coveted tea today. I thought I hadn't been looking in the right places for Yogi Tea, but the problem is more that not many places carry it. C. and I went through the box of Green Tea Chai I bought at the Good Food Show last year rather quickly and have been hankering after it ever since.

I also ordered a box of chocolates today, Chococo's chocolate week collection. The shop is in Dorset, so Saturday's chocolate tour won't be stopping by.

To counterbalance my acquisitiveness today, I stayed home and was generally productive: job application, class prep, and mostly finishing off my slightly ambitious rearrangement of the flat in an effort to create more logical, non-pile spaces for books.

Backlog: lots of restaurant write-ups half-finished, more thoughts on textbook prices. Thank you for all the anecdotal information on the state of textbooks across time, countries, and disciplines!

That's a very minimalist list of places you can get Yogi Tea. I've even found it (though usually a rather minimalist selection) in Holland and Barrett.

Let me know what sorts you are looking for, and I will see if they have them when I go to the organic grocer's tomorrow.

NB when I did a search on Yogi Teas recently I did discover that the kinds of teas available varied quite a bit between N America and Europe.

Health food shop in Greenwich Market carries several varieties of Yogi Tea.

Thanksgiving

This is off-topic except for the food association but I wanted to extend an invitation to do Thanksgiving at ours to you if you're interested - we're going to do something very small this year (so far I know Siggy and Tal are planning to but probably won't invite anyone else). We probably won't have anyone stay over, just because it's more trouble than it's worth for you with a screaming baby about, I should think, but I think it might be possible for you to stay over with Siggy & Tal should you like to come.

If you and C. already have plans I completely understand but just wanted to let you know that the invitation is open should you wish to come up :)

Otherwise, it would be lovely to meet up with you at some point after Christmas, so do let me know when might work well!

Not sure but I'll look next time I'm there. They might also be willing to order it if you asked them.

I scored some Green Chai this lunchtime at Alara Wholefoods (Marchmont St WC1) - do I have your address to post it to? If Alara has it this suggests that it is fairly widely available in good organic/health/wholefood shops in the metropolis.

I'll try and post these shortly - may be able to get to a Post Office tomorrow, if not, at the weekend.
