I had a good day yesterday. It was one of those satisfying days where all the important things were accomplished, I received two lovely compliments, and I felt that when I was translating, I did so rather competently. I ran into a student of mine from several semesters ago and we caught up. I was organized. The weather was good, if rather crisp. I was just busy enough to have the busyness feel productive.

Today is an entirely different kettle of fish. The day is gray in preparation for the incoming snowstorm due to hit us and all the work I do must be done by me, by myself, just me and lots of editing and writing and footnotes. I need to be productive. I have all day. Hopefully, I can have two good days running.
