Section XIV.4 "LiveJournal.com also reserves the right, without limitation, to resell any portion of a user's LiveJournal back to that individual" - from the new LJ Terms of Service

I'm trying to think what this might encompass. Presumably they won't start charging for back-ups. (Although they're certainly reserving the right to do so.) But they could provide a service whereby you can buy a book-form version of your own journal from them.

Dear Toronto-area people,

I'm moving from an apartment we furnished ourselves to a furnished one across the ocean, and it's time to get rid of most of the really big things that I own here. I need to have dealt with all of these things one way or another before the end of June, and the sooner I start, the more likely I am to finish in time.

All of you get first dibs, since you're so easy to coordinate with, and I'll look further afield - ads if necessary - in a few days for all the things you're collectively not interested in. Unfortunately, I don't have a car and thus can't drive anything over to you. Photos and measurements available of anything you'd like more information about.

Giving and selling... )

For any of you who gave in to the lure of a permanent LJ account (9 hours left on the sale), don't forget: you can transfer any remaining paid time you had to another user.
