There are always too many last minute things to do before trips. And this one is proving no exception. On the bright side, we have a friend who'll be watering the plants while we're away. We haven't packed yet, but all the laundry is clean, and no hotels, but everything else. I hope it works out okay!

The garbage strike is still going on, and now the library workers and indoor city workers are on strike as well. No library books are available anymore! No city services at all, really.

I'm not likely to be making any postings here while on the road, but then again, you never know. Have a lovely July and hopefully the strikes, especially the garbage strike, will be finished by the time I return!

In an attempt to be rid of lots of ingredients, I made banana pudding pie yesterday. I'm not sure we'll eat it all before leaving tonight, but at least it was a way to get rid of milk, eggs, and banana. And I'm nearly done with American Gods now. Nearly. I still need to go to the post office and mail lots of stuff, pack, do dishes, and a variety of online errands. Back to work.
