owlfish at 10:20pm on 18/08/2003The saga of the carpeting is (hopefully) complete. It's done! It's all tidily tucked in in all the right places.
It's as if the blackout is finally over. We can move the furniture back out of all the places it's crowded into and back to where it all belongs. There are suitcases lurking under the table. Clothing encrusts the sofa. Boxes tower over my desk. There's clutter everywhere right now. But now we have places to put it all.
